Hi, I'm Dan Sanfelice.
I love learning about science and technology.

A little about me.

I currently reside in San Diego, Ca (America's Finest City), but I am originally from Redwood City, Ca. I graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in International Security and Conflict Resolution, with a minor in Environmental Security. After college, I joined the United States Navy where I was a Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crewman (SWCC), a drone operator, special forces liaison, and program manager. After the Navy, I have spent the past decade working in robotics R&D, opertations, systems integration, sales project management, and various other technical engineering roles

I am passionate about science and technology. I love learning about nature and the world around us. I love building technology to help study nature, and I love using data to learn about my adopted hometown of San Diego, Ca. I have an insatiable appetitite for learning and I am always looking to build my skills.

Over the years I have built a leadership philosophy that guides me in work and personal life

1. Change moves at the speed of trust: Everything I do is about building trust and building authentic relationships.

2. Start with why: It's not what you do, it's why you do it.

3. The devil is in the details: Getting the small details right makes a good engineer a great engineer.

4. Human centered design: Understand what people need and how they communicate. Make it so easy, they can't mess it up.
